Yildraw · Effective 21 August 2026

Yildraw helps you draw by showing a reference image over a live camera view of your paper. The camera feed is the heart of the app — and it never leaves your device.

The short version

What we collect, and why

Camera

Yildraw needs camera access to show a live view of your paper. Frames are used only to draw the on-screen preview, to detect the edges of your sheet, and to notice when the phone has moved. All of this happens on your device. Frames are never sent anywhere and are not written to storage.

Photos you choose

When you import a photo, iOS gives Yildraw only the image you picked — the app cannot browse your library. The photo is processed on your device to produce a traceable outline. If you save a time-lapse video to your camera roll, Yildraw asks for permission to add photos only; it still cannot read your library.

Your drawings and videos

Time-lapse recordings and unfinished projects are stored in Yildraw's own folder on your device. They are not uploaded. Deleting the app deletes them.

Account

Yildraw creates an anonymous account so your progress survives a reinstall. An anonymous account contains no personal information — only a random identifier.

You may optionally sign in with Google or Apple to keep your progress across devices. If you do, we receive the email address and display name that provider shares with us. With Sign in with Apple you can choose to hide your real email; we only ever see the relay address. Accounts are handled by Google Firebase Authentication.

Usage and crash data

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand which features are used and to find bugs. This includes events such as opening a template or finishing a drawing, along with device model, operating system version, language and approximate country.

Yildraw does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), does not display ads, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
